A traditional wedding gift dating as far back as Ancient Greek times and became less popular towards the early 20th century. Often a gift given to the bride, along with a dowry chest, silver, and linens (the essentials!). A Bridal Mirror typically would have feet that could rest on a lip on her dowry chest, creating a traveling vanity since newly marries couples would often not yet own a home of their own. Once they obtained a home, they would remove the feet on the mirror and hang the mirror normally.
