Antique French Pitcher
- antique circa 1880
- found in Paris, France
- made of faience - tin glazed earthenware with hand painted detail
- maker's mark - Sarreguemines
- Approximately 9.25" high x 5" diameter at body
A refined French faience pitcher by Sarreguemines, beautifully shaped in a neoclassical urn form and adorned with hand-painted green laurel garlands and delicate gilt detailing. With its fluted base and graceful handle, this piece reflects the refined influence of 18th-century European design. Dating to the late 19th century, this piece reflects the elegance of Louis XVI–inspired design—timeless, graceful, and equally striking styled on a table or shelf. Originally intended for the table, it now makes a striking statement styled with florals or displayed among a thoughtfully collected vignette.
