Authentic 19th century Italian stoneware confit pots with softly aged cream glaze and classic provincial form. These antique vessels commonly feature a glazed exterior in cream, white, or yellow drip glaze, showcasing beautiful age and patina including glaze loss, minor chips, crazing, and light fritting consistent with age.
Entirely hand crafted with two charming handles, often referred to as 'ears,' each pot displays unique hand thrown irregularities and timeworn character developed over generations of use. Originally used throughout the Italian countryside for preserving foods and pantry storage, these vessels are now highly sought after for their rustic old world appeal.
Today, they make beautiful decorative accents as vases, planters, or kitchen utensil holders, bringing effortless old world character to a kitchen or interior.
Made in Italy.
