A charming French faience shaving bowl from Desvres, hand-painted in rich cobalt blue with delicate florals and birds. Originally designed for use by barbers and gentlemen during traditional wet shaves, the crescent form allowed the bowl to rest comfortably against the neck. Crafted by the renowned Fourmaintraux family workshop, this piece beautifully captures the romance of historic French faience traditions.
